A package

A package was delivered today. A long awaited package. Everyone came running from every corner of the house. The UPS man looked vaguely concerned. Lucas (after saying 'thanks') snatched the box and ran in the house with it. Plopped it on the floor and started looking for a pair of scissors. Tim quickly got the scissors, and while Lucas looked disappointed that *he* didn't get to use the scissors, he was so happy opening the box. And so was Gwendolyn. They dumped the contents of the box out on the floor. And were thrilled with their new toy. An empty box. That came in a big brown truck. Lucas had to be convinced not to rip it up. We told him he could in a few days when Gwendolyn was done standing on it. He was happy with that. And stood on it himself. And jumped off. Repeatedly. Gwendolyn liked the idea. She got one foot up on the box, but couldn't quite get on. But she enjoyed standing around with one foot on the box - roaring.
(if you're wondering what we were so eagerly awaiting, it was Tim's Carhart coat that we sent back to the company to be repaired. He missed his coat. It's cold in the freezer (where he works) without a nice coat..)
